Kumaon is largely unexplored and has received little attention. Kumaon’s Ranthan Kharak Trek is just one of many undiscovered trekking gems.

Let’s begin by celebrating the big mountains. On this trek, you see India’s highest peak, Nanda Devi, and its sister peak, Sunanda Devi (also known as Nanda Devi East). We can see the sun rise over these two formidable peaks from our Chophu camp. On our right, sticking out of the clouds, is the impressive, jagged peak of Nanda Kot. 

Even though Mt. Dangthal is not as tall as these mountains, being closer, it dominates our view. On the far east, we have Mt. Mrigthuni towering over the landscape. On the west, the five magnificent Panchachuli peaks stand out from the Ranthan Kharak ridge. 
  • Accommodation: Stay is included from Day 1 to Day 6 (Gogina to Gogina). You will be camping on all days of the trek (3 per tent).
  • Meals: All meals from dinner at Gogina on Day 1 to breakfast on Day 7 are included. We provide simple, nutritious vegetarian food on all days of the trek.
  • Camping charges: All trekking permits and forest camping charges are included.
  • Safety equipment: First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, stretchers etc. will be available at all campsites to deal with emergencies.
  • Trekking equipment: You will stay in high quality tents and sleeping bags in all the camps. Our high altitude sleeping bags can withstand temperatures as low as -10 ºC. We provide ice axes, roped, micro spikes, gaiters etc. as required.
  • Transport to and from the base camp

Detailed Day-Wise Itinerary

Day : 1 Arrival and Evening Dhow Cruise

Arrive at the airport and transfer to hotel. Check-in time at the hotel will be at 2:00 PM. In the evening, enjoy a tasty dinner on the Dhow cruise. Later, head back to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day : 2 City Tour and Evening Free for Leisure

After breakfast, proceed for tour of Dubai city. Visit Jumeirah Mosque, World Trade Centre, Palaces and Dubai Museum. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.In the evening, enjoy a tasty dinner on the Dhow cruise. Later, head back to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day : 3 Desert Safari with Dinner

Relish a yummy breakfast and later, proceed to explore the city on your own. Enjoy shopping at Mercato Shopping Mall, Dubai Mall and Wafi City. In the evening, enjoy the desert safari experience and belly dance performance. Relish a mouth-watering barbecue dinner and enjoy staying overnight in Dubai.

Day : 4 Day at leisure

Savour a satiating breakfast and relax for a while. Day Free for leisure. Overnight stay will be arranged in Dubai. In the evening, enjoy a tasty dinner on the Dhow cruise. Later, head back to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day : 5 Departure

Fill your tummy with yummy breakfast and relax for a while. Later, check out from the hotel and proceed for your onward journey.In the evening, enjoy a tasty dinner on the Dhow cruise. Later, head back to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
